NFC tag

Turn the NFC tag you own into your business card

Write your card page URL to an NFC sticker or card you can buy anywhere. Hold a phone to it, and your card opens.

  • No special card to buy
  • The other person needs no app
  • Edit your card, keep the same tag

Writing works from Chrome on Android. iPhone cannot write, but it can read a tag.

Four steps to turn a tag into your card

Once your card page exists, writing takes a few seconds.

  1. Get a tag

Get an NFC tag, sticker or card that can hold a URL (NTAG213 and similar). We do not sell tags.

  2. Write it from /my

Open the dashboard (/my) in Chrome on Android, press "Write to an NFC tag", and hold the tag to the back of your phone.

  3. Try it on your phone

Hold your phone to the tag and check that your card page opens.

  4. Let them tap it

Your card page opens on their phone. They can photograph their own paper card to exchange.

Card page

The tag holds one thing: the URL of your card page. When someone taps it, the page opens in their phone browser.

  • The other phone needs no app
  • They can exchange by photographing their own paper card
  • The same card page also opens from a QR code
  • Changing your card page does not mean rewriting the tag

Compared with a paper card

One tag is enough. You edit the contents on the card page.

  • Edit without reprinting

When your title or contact details change, only the card page behind the tag changes. The tag keeps working.

  • It never runs out

You do not hand the tag over; people tap it. No need to count the cards left in your holder.

  • Their card comes to you

When they photograph their paper card and send it, it arrives by email and goes into your contacts.

  • No app for them

What opens is an ordinary web page. They can view your card and exchange with just their phone browser.

FAQ

What kind of NFC tag should I buy?

Any NFC tag, sticker or card that can hold a URL works (NTAG213 and similar). Get a commercial one yourself.

Which phones can write a tag?

Writing works only from Chrome on Android. iPhone cannot write, but it can read a tag.

Can I change things after writing?

You can edit your card page in the dashboard at any time. The URL on the tag does not change, so there is nothing to rewrite. To overwrite the tag itself, write it again the same way. We do not lock the tag.

How is it different from a QR code?

Both open the same card page. With QR, the other person scans your screen with their camera. With NFC, they just hold their phone to the tag.

Do you sell tags?

No. You use a commercial NFC tag. Your card page and exchanges are free.

What if it will not write?

If the "Write to an NFC tag" button does not appear, your browser does not support NFC writing. Open the page in Chrome on Android. If a write fails, hold the tag again or try another tag.

Make your own card
